What will I be doing at Ather?

As Process Excellence Manager – Vehicle engineering you will be reporting to Director Process Excellence and will be responsible for driving process excellence activities in the Vehicle engineering team.

 What experience & skills do I need for this role? 

  • Strong Vehicle Engineering and process excellence experience with demonstrated ability in DFSS, DFMEA, Quality assurance, Mechanical and Automotive Product quality.
  • Work with the Vehicle Engineering team to design and develop standards, checklists, and templates for processes such as - CAD, CAE, testing, design release, DFX, etc
  • Prior domain experience in Chassis Engineering, Structural engineering, NVH
  • Work with the functional teams to design and develop quality, reliability, digital security, design time, and safety standards (from Requirement Gathering to Release) and produce process/project based quality metrics to highlight key risks and mitigation actions.
  • Design, review and ensure process compliance, and identify and highlight process gaps. Work with engineering team to create best in class processes.
  • Review team process documents such as DFSS, DFMEA, Design Validation and Verification plan, process templates, etc for compliance, quality, and risks.
  • Be an integral part of the Vehicle Engineering team and add value during PLM phases. Participate in RCA activities and ensure completion of Engineering Change Requests.
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills and ability to present in front of senior leadership. Monitor and report project progress and create dashboard for health checks.
  • Identify, plan and implement Six Sigma projects to improve quality, reduce cost, increase productivity and improve cycle time by reducing wasted time, scrap, rework, etc. resulting in significant business improvement and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify opportunities to automate and re-engineer.
  • Manage the Bill of Material for Vehicle Engineering teams.

 

What should I have graduated in?
  •  B.Tech/M.Tech degree with experience in Process Excellence/Quality Management
  •  Certified Six Sigma Black Belt


Desirable skills

Project management skills with ability to drive projects in an ambiguous and changing environment. Support teams in creating a detailed Project Plan using WBS and identify the critical path, dependencies, cost, and resource requirements.
