Business - Interaction Designer (UI/UX)

The Visual Design function for the business team spreads across multiple interfaces that Ather has with its stakeholders. Customer facing interfaces such as the marketing website and the experience centres (we might experiment with augmented reality here) as well as our internal CRM and marketing intelligence app will all need great visual treatment. Basically, there will be a lot of jumping from project to project and the designer we are looking for should have a lot of ideas as well as the energy and focus to roll these ideas out as feasible designs. At Ather, we are redefining how the automobile industry engages with its customers. There will be a lot of experimentation, brainstorming and concept proofs to come up with solutions to problems that have never existed. We love to work with designers who live for this thrill.  What will I be doing at Ather? 

  • You will be the primary designer for all customer facing and internal interfaces of the business team - Website, Experience Center, Business Tools, Charging Infrastructure, Service Apps 
  • We are reinventing the space which means you need to ideate, innovate and design solutions to problems that haven’t been known till now and create experiences from scratch 
  • Implement uniform design language across all the above external interfaces 
  • Collaborate with business to understand the workflow and requirement for all business tools 
  • Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and sitemaps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas 
  • Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback 
  • Build touch point consistent to brand design guidelines, best practices and standards. 
  • Drive adoption of trends in user experience and use of technology/tools for the same 

Critical Skills: 

  • Proven UI/ Visual design experience - Website, Web app UI or Mobile app UI 
  • Fundamental understanding of experience/interaction design 
  • Strong portfolio of customer facing projects (preferably for tech-oriented companies) 
  • Solid experience in creating high fidelity assets, storyboards, and site maps 
  • Proficiency in design and wireframing tools - Photoshop, Sketch, Illustrator, InVision, UXPin 
  • Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction and feasibility 
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively 
  • Up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, tools and technologies 
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for rapid prototyping will be a bonus
