What you’ll do at Ather:

  • Meet Cost, Quality & Schedule goals for Programs/Projects.

  • Lead efforts to carry out detailed Process Calculations, Yield Predictions and Tolerance Analyses to demonstrate compliance to sub-system/system specifications and requirements along with Takt.

  • Demonstrate compliance to corporate guidelines on DFM, DFA, DFT, DFC, DFS, DFR and Component Selection/derating. Aim to achieve a minimum of proficient or Advanced skill levels assessments for - PCB Gerbers, PCBAs, BoxBuild Assemblies and Testers when it comes to DFx to capture all the possible concerns..

  • Be an active member of the CFT reviewing DFMEA for Hardware Modules to respective engineering teams to optimize the design

  • Lead and drive periodic PFMEA reviews. Demonstrate focus on proactive screening of defects and timely implementation of control mechanisms to reduce RPN.

  • Lead RCA on field failures due to process and Approve RCA Reports & CAPA.

  • Lead planning and execution of engineering proto builds, actively co-ordinate for X1 and Production builds with EMS partners.

  • Keep an eye for new technological process innovations for Hardware modules and share it with relevant stakeholders.. 

  • Setup/Improve checklists/Templates for periodic reviews on Process Files, DFx Inputs, FMEAs, Tolerance Analyses.

  • Lead efforts to verify that lessons learnt are effectively considered in future processes.

  • Define SW & HW interfaces to the respective teams for Hardware modules or tester development projects. 

  • Lead in giving budgetary estimates for NRE across various development projects.

Here’s what we are looking for:

Domain skills:

  • Understanding on Assembly Instructions & CTQ requirements for PCBs, PCBAs & Hardware Modules

  • Sound knowledge of process documentations encompassing PFD, PFMEA, Control Plan, WIS

  • Advanced know-how of DFA, DFM, DFT & FMEA (Design, Process, Equipment)

  • Design of Experiments (DoE)

  • Understanding of mechanical processes like - Assemblies, Jigs and Fixtures, 1K and 2K component dispensing systems, etc.

  • Testing Automation, design of testing Jigs and fixtures (incl. BON Fixtures)

  • Test Plan and Testing Point Coverage

  • Understanding Gerbers

  • LabView knowledge

  • Familiarity with Microcontroller / Microprocessor / DSP Architecture – Registers, Bus, PWM, DMA, watchdog, ADC,DAC, Timers, LED driver ICs etc.

  • 4G, GNSS, WI-FI, BT Wireless Protocols testing

  • MSA, Gage R&R and Calibration practices.

  • B.Tech/B.E/ or equivalent with Specialization in Electrical / Electronics / Electronics & Communication / Instrumentation & Control

  • 12-18 years of relevant experience in NPI activities for Hardware Modules in Automotive / IoT Systems / Portable consumer electronics domain in leadership roles.
