As Ather Energy continues to grow and scale pan India and roll out multiple products, we are looking for a self-starter individual to join the Program Management team to establish and scale our work around Spares and Service management.  


  • Build consensus among swimlane members in articulating swimlane goals that have strong relevance to organizational OKRs (Objectives & Key Results) 

  • Orchestrate the execution of these goals through collaborative approach within and across multiple swimlanes 

  • Identify and remove roadblocks that come in the way of execution without compromising on process/ product/ service quality

  • Identify gaps within established processes and work towards improving the same 

  • Raise timely alerts on Risks with detailed action plan on mitigating the same - The team's efficiency depends on your ability to identify risks on a day to day basis, look for mitigation and be a bridge with other functions on any impediments

  • Lead team efforts in relentless improvement across execution – Help the team improve and take responsibility for their actions; facilitates the team retrospective. Relentlessly focus on execution methods, teaches problem-solving techniques and helps the team become better problem-solvers for themselves.

Some specifics:

  • Develop a Knowledge base of past, present and future Ather products and its subsystems

  • Bring together Engg., product, service and sourcing teams to evolve a Comprehensive spares management strategy after carefully considering the part criticality, failure rates and supply availability of each component 

  • Special attention is to be given to parts that become obsolete post ECN or product phase out, to ensure every vehicle on the field is serviceable throughout its lifetime

  • In case of obsolete parts, creative ways of catering to low volume and low frequency requirements through proto build, 3D printing, etc. are explored  

  • Based on spares strategy, derive stock up/ fulfillment policies that will enable the service team maintain its defined service levels while optimising Ather’s inventory levels at the same time 

  • The above fulfillment policy should be scalable to Ather service centers throughout India 

  • ‘Spares’ is one of the revenue streams at Ather - Spares mgmt. should strike a balance between customer centricity and profitability e.g: rework instead of replacement, dynamic pricing, etc.

  • Push for Continuous improvement on forecasting accuracy to prevent overstocking/ stock out situations and also to ensure revenue realisation happens as projected

  • UX is part of Ather’s DNA - Be obsessed with customer delight and create appropriate channels to monitor service experience and continuously improve them 


Customer centricity, Ownership & Driving Results 

The Person - 

  • Should have strong program management experience - in taking projects from zero to one to a hundred. Understanding of SAFe Methodologies is a plus

  • Should be savvy with relevant tools for program management, JIRA knowledge is a plus

  • Should have good understanding of product breakdown structure, supply chain complexities, forecasting and fulfillment of spares (unpredictable demand)

  • Hands on experience in managing spare parts supply/ customer service will be a definite plus

  • Should be a self-starter & a go-getter with high levels of ownership on closing things

  • Should have razor sharp focus in quantifying improvements and driving results through metrics

  • Proactive, responsive and keen on increasing the predictability of the system


  • B.E/B.Tech with a total experience of 5-7 yrs 

  • MBA in Operations/SCM will be a definite plus but not mandatory

  • An ideal candidate would have prior experience of using Agile/Scrum methodologies to execute high impact, complex projects across multiple teams
