Is Ather Connect™ mandatory?
No, it's up to you. But if you want to unlock your Ather's full potential, you'll need Ather Connect. You don't want to miss out on Find My Scooter, OTA updates that add new features and keep improving your scooter, Call and Music Controls and so much more.
I'll be traveling for a while and won't be using my scooter. Can I pause my subscription at any time?
Currently, we don't have this facility. Once subscribed, your Ather Connect™ plan will be valid for exactly 3 months, 1 year or 3 years, depending on the duration you choose while subscribing.
Can I pay with Ather Credits?
Yes, you can. We'll take the credit(s) too.
Why am I paying extra just for internet access?
There's more to Ather Connect™ than just internet access. It enables additional features and benefits such as Theft and Tow detection, Google Maps navigation and more.
I was given Ather Connect™ for free as part of my scooter purchase. Do I need to subscribe?
If you've bought a new Ather Scooter with Pro, you'll receive 3 year of complimentarys Ather Connect. If you wish to continue using Ather Connect features post that, you will need to subscribe.
I only want to use Google Maps navigation. Can I subscribe just for a few individual features?
Ather Connect™ is a connected platform that unlocks a whole lot of smart features. It is designed to give you a riding experience that's smarter than ever. Just a couple of features can't match up to the world of intelligence it opens you up to.
Do you have a monthly plan?
Currently, we only offer quarterly, annual and 3 year plans.
I have opted for the 1-year plan, but would like to upgrade to the 3-year plan now. Can I do that?
Sorry, you can only do that the next time you're subscribing.
I initially opted for the 3-year plan, but would like to downgrade. Can I do that?
We don't have the option to downgrade a plan. But we're sure you will continue to find great value with the plan you have chosen.
Are there any additional costs to this?
Nope. What you see is what you pay (inclusive of GST).
What happens if I don't subscribe to any of these plans?
You miss out on a ton of nifty features and benefits such as Google Maps navigation, Find My Scooter, Call and Music Control, and more. But you still have a top-of-the-line performance scooter, so warp away!
Why do we have to pay for subscription after paying a premium for the vehicle?
The Ather 450X is a powerful, smart and connected electric scooter. Ather Connect™ unlocks a whole lot of smart features: dashboard navigation, over-the-air upgrades with fixes and new features, and statistics that are synced to your phone to improve your ride. All of these are activated through the in-built 4G sim, which is ultimately, a recurring cost. The Ather Connect™ subscription plan is designed to suit heavy to light users, but isn't a must-have. It’s your call whether to opt for it or not.
After a year, will the discounted price be applicable when it's time to renew?
Pricing is subject to change. We strongly suggest you subscribe now to make the most of the discounted offers.
How long will it take for the Ather Connect™ subscription to get activated?
Once paid for, it should be activated in a couple of minutes. If it doesn't, reach out to our customer service helpline.
