Mr. Vivek Anand is a finance professional with over three decades of diverse industry experience in FMCG, Telecom, Paints, Consumer Healthcare and Real Estate. He joined Hero MotoCorp in March 2024 to spearhead the finance function.&nbsp;&nbsp;He has worked with Hindustan Unilever Limited, Unilever Singapore, Unilever Bangladesh, Telenor, GSK and DLF. In his previous role as Group Chief Financial Officer at DLF Ltd based in Gurugram, Mr. Vivek instilled a culture of performance into the Company and was instrumental in driving growth and profitability while steering the Company to an all-time high market cap of $27Bn (3.5x growth in 4 years).&nbsp;&nbsp;In his earlier role, Mr. Vivek was part of the lead team at GSK Healthcare during India's largest business divestment in the consumer sector valued at $4Bn. We are exploring battery chemistries and motor technologies that do not contain any rare-earth magnets which will aid our supply chain to be more resilient and less carbon intense, while also avoiding the negative externalities associated with mining rare-earth minerals.

Developing Technologies

Ather owners have collectively saved approximately ₹6.0 billion in petrol costs, and avoided more than 71 million tonnes of CO2 from January 2023 to June 2024.&nbsp;Our sustainable manufacturing initiatives include paper-based packaging, renewable energy, air pollution control and zero-sewage discharge.&nbsp;&nbsp;<ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li>We have adopted green packaging and reusable packaging such as water-based paper tapes, paper pouches, paper bubble, shredded carton waste used as cushion/fillers, velcro straps, biodegradable packaging sheets, and recycled paper. &nbsp;</li><li>13% of our current manufacturing capacity energy needs were powered by solar panels installed on-site in our Hosur Factory. &nbsp;</li><li>The implementation of ISO 14001 environmental management system has led to optimisation of energy consumption through various energy-saving projects.</li></ul>
